An announcement in October 2024 declared that the Tattvika, Acarya, and Avadhuta board members would be elected. These essential bodies are responsible for AMPS cadres’ training, development, discipline, and conduct. They comprise and serve as a significant component of the judicial organs of Ananda Marga and AMPS.
Preselected candidates for all three boards were chosen in advance and abruptly announced before the Delhi sector RDS in Jamalpur, organized by COS Ranchi on October 22. All sectors received this announcement ten days prior to election day. This plan, along with the names of all candidates, was outlined and prepared ahead of time. The election date was set for October 24, giving the unprepared WT voters little time.
On October 24, photos of the preselected candidates were displayed on the wall in the main hall of Jamalpur Jagrti. Some candidates did not meet the eligibility or nomination criteria, revealing pre-planned selection.
Manipulations in the process soon led to rising tensions and reactions among the Workers. The COS (Central Office Secretary) entered the hall where the WTs were assembled. There was considerable commotion and discontent among the WTs, who sensed that everything had been rigged from the beginning. The COS instructed everyone to start voting and speculatively told them that overseas voting had already begun. Furthermore, he threatened them with punitive action for noncompliance.
About 130 Workers openly protested, voicing their discontent after a senior Dada raised his voice against the irregularity of the process. Some Margiis witnessed the scene, and Didis joined in discussions over the apparent manipulation by the Election Management Body (EMB) led by CPRS. Later, a number of other Workers voiced their concerns.
